Boy was I wrong. The Tarptent ProTrail is shaped like an A-frame tarp or pup tent with an integrated rainfly and internal bathtub floor that’s suspended from the fly with bug netting. The walls come down at a sharper angle than is depicted in the pictures. I couldn't sit up anywhere in that tent without making serious contact with the walls.
On the Protrail, I've found that using five stakes (the normal four and the one from the top of the tent) really, really improved my pitches.
