I actually liked it better than Titegroup. Had good results with both and it would be a toss up. I load 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 with it. For me I perceived less recoil, gained accuracy, and clean up is less fussy both with the gun and my Lock N Load auto charge. Mainly because it has been hard for me to find HP-38 or W231.

The best powders for a 9mm (all bullet weights) are Power Pistol, Universal, or Unique. They are mid-burn rate powders .... exactly what a 9mm cartridge was designed to use. This is a discussion on HP-38, W231 And TiteGroup within the Ammo and Reloading forums, part of the Gun Forum category; Went to a gun store in Las Vegas 2 days ago and couldn't believe it. Its cheaper than HP38 too. I load to an OAL of 1.150 (COL max is 1.160") I'm typically loading a berry's 124 with 4.1grs.

Recently I have found myself using a lot of Titegroup in my 38 special, 45acp, 44mag, and 500 magnum. I don't dislike the TG, just like the HP38 better. Titegroup is great, I've used many pounds of it in 9mm, 38 SuperComp, .40 S&W, .44 Mag, .45 Colt, 12 gauge and it works great for subsonic loads in rifle cases like .308W and .223 Rem. Titegroup is a fantastic powder for 9mm and .45ACP. I use titegroup, and HP38. Yes, it will work in most pistols but it is much faster burning than optimum.
HP-38, W231 And TiteGroup. HP-38 / W-231 is a poor choice for 9mm. For my 45 and 38 I really like HP-38, and thought the titegroup performed better in my 44mag and 500mag. Plated bullets, cast bullets, and jacketed bullets are different animals, and will perform differently. difference between hp 38 and titegroup, hp 38 for 9mm, hp 38 vs titegroup, hp38 or tightgroup burns the cleanest, hp38 titegroup, pros and cons of titegroup powder, titegroup vs 231, what the difference between hp-38 and hp-110 pistol powder
