Do This in Remembrance of Me On that fateful Passover night in the Meridian of Time before Gethsemane , the Savior instituted the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. When he says, "do this in remembrance of Me" a few verses later, he's talking about the Passover -- a Feast of the Lord which we're supposed to be celebrating, one that Jesus made complete by becoming the sacrifice Lamb. Jesus says, “This is my Body and my Blood: Do this in remembrance of me,” affirming the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. There are at least five aspects in which it may be profitably regarded. We remember the gospel, and as we’re reminded, the gospel stirs our hearts in worship. Jesus said, “This is my Body” and “This is my Blood,” and whatever He meant by that, He didn’t say.
